Hello and Welcome!

It seems as though everyone in this world has had an experience with music.  Some good, and some not so good.  I often encounter people who had music lessons as a child, liked it at first, had a miserable time with practicing, quit as a pre-teen, and regretted that decision as an adult.   I am here as a teacher to try and see my students through discouraging times so those kinds of scenarios do not occur.  People love music, and teachers of music should be helpers in nurturing that love.

I have been teaching piano for the last ten years and have had a wide array of students ranging from those who "just want to have fun," to those who dream of one day being the first concert pianist to perform on the moon.  Regardless of ability, all students deserve to have fun and build wonderful memories during their time in music lessons.  I welcome students of all ages and ability into my studio.  I love having a wide variety of personalities to teach.

Piano lessons in my studio are intended to offer musical training of the highest standard, as well as a personal teacher student relationship built on trust and respect.  Upon relocating to Redondo Beach, CA from Reno, NV I found that the students (and their parents) who were left behind in Reno were as much saddened by losing a strong piano teacher as they were by losing a mentor.  I have since taken steps to become a certified life coach so the mentoring that I do with my students can now be considered legitimate.

In my music & mentoring piano studio, we are here to learn while having a lot of fun.  Students will be exposed to lots of performance opportunities that include costume required Halloween recitals, Christmas recitals (presents included!) and even occasional get-togethers where students have opportunities to relax and laugh with their peers.

Students who act responsibly will also be invited to attend field trips which range from a trip together to hear the LA Philharmonic to longer out of town trips for further musical education.   Our last trip included one week in New York City during spring break, now that was exciting!

Please feel free to contact me if you would like to sign up for lessons...remember, the first meeting is always free!
